BAYADERA GROUP
Creating a Modern Corporate Website

We created a new trending website for BAYADERA GROUP — the largest holding company and brand owner that specialises in alcohol production. The company has 3 own factories, which allows it to export its products to more than 30 different countries. In addition, BAYADERA GROUP imports alcohol to Ukraine from abroad. The website developed by us reflects the significance, importance and high level of the company both for the domestic market and for foreign partners. At the client's request, we also endowed the website with the Ukrainian national identity.

What the Client Came up With and What We Offered

BAYADERA GROUP needed an innovative and modern website that would inspire confidence and emphasise the scale of the company. The main emphasis had to be placed on the Ukrainian national identity, which is reflected in the company's new branding. We were provided with a brand book to design the website, which we used as a guide to implement these ideas.

Our designers came up with an interesting idea. When entering the site, the user should enter a fascinating interactive element, which is a fragment of an embroidered shirt. This element serves as a portal through which the visitor is immersed in a unique atmosphere that combines folk traditions and modernity. The entire structure and design of the site had to be filled with national elements that are organically woven into modern visual solutions.

Stages of Work

Work on the project began in August 2023 and was completed in December of the same year. At the first stage of website development, we created technical documentation that became the basis for the entire project:

  • Description of the website's functionality. It detailed all the functional requirements that the website had to fulfil. This included a description of the main features necessary for the effective operation of the site.
  • Basic information about the product. Information about the website was collected and systematised. This included descriptions, images, and other important data that should be available to users.
  • Planning language versions of the website. To make the website available in different languages, language versions were needed. This would allow users to interact with the site in their preferred language.
  • Planning optimisation for different devices and browsers. We had to ensure that the website was responsive so that it would display and work correctly on different devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and computers.

These steps helped create a clear picture of how the site would function and ensured its effective development and implementation in the next stages of the project.

The next step was the development of a sitemap, which included sections:

  • production;
  • brands;
  • distribution;
  • retail;
  • international trade;
  • partners;
  • contacts;
  • other sections.

After the structure was approved, we started working on the design. We created visual layouts of the website pages, which were agreed with the client. At the stage of website development, we implemented all the functionality described in the terms of reference and integrated the design.

To develop BAYADERA GROUP’S corporate website, we used advanced technologies both on the front-end and back-end, which ensured high performance, modern design and ease of use.

On the frontend side, we used technologies such as:

  • React.js to create a dynamic user interface.
  • JavaScript (ES6, ES7) for writing modern and efficient code.
  • TypeScript to add static typing and improve code reliability.

The technologies used for the backend included:

  • Drupal — the main platform for content management.
  • DBMS for data storage and management.
  • Nginx — a web server for processing requests and delivering content.

The final stage was filling the site with test content and conducting comprehensive testing to identify and eliminate errors. After performance optimisation and final tweaking, the site was ready for launch.

Conclusions

  1. The development of a corporate website for BAYADERA GROUP, the largest alcoholic beverage holding company in Eastern Europe, resulted in a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing website that is far superior to the previous design.
  2. The new site has become much faster, solving the problem of slow loading, which was typical for the old version.
  3. Thanks to the use of modern technologies, the site now looks up-to-date and meets the latest trends in web design, unlike the outdated previous version.
  4. The new site has become much more user-friendly, eliminating all the shortcomings that made the previous version inconvenient to use.
